description PLC SCADA Developer West Sussex. £Fully Negotiable. 2 Years + experience of the control systems industry with a strong involvement in application software. You will ideally be HND/Degree educated in a Science or Engineering discipline or have a proven track record in a relevant industry. The main requirement is to be able to build and commission PLC systems with ideally an understanding of SCADA and graphics based HMI systems. You will be adept at using MS Office tools such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint and knowledge of languages such as VB and C/C++ would be an advantage. This role requires effective communications skills both written and verbal, utilising technical English to transfer design concepts to customers and engineering staff. Expertise in either Process, Machine or Motion Control, Safety Systems, Water Treatment, Food or Pharmaceutical systems is also required with a rudimentary understanding of electrical, electromechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems also being advantageous.
The successful applicant will be involved in the complete project life cycle from inception through design, build and test, up to installation, commissioning and support.
