Your responsibilities will include sourcing & qualification of top class materials and device architecture for ink jet printed devices.
You will initiate process studies to determine device performance and develop systematic methods to compare materials performance that relate to display requirements. This will entail working with formulation chemists and process engineers to develop the print process to enable new materials and architectures to be evaluated.
The ideal candidate will have a higher degree in Materials Science or Solid State Physics; several years? experience in a manufacturing development environment would be a distinct advantage.
Knowledge of semiconductor devices and experience of thin film analysis equipment is a pre-requisite of the role and an understanding of ink jet process and other LEP manufacturing processes would be highly desirable.
The position requires a demonstrable track record of project management. Exceptional organisation and communication skills, teamed with a proactive approach are fundamental to the role. Occasional travel may be necessary, as will a flexible approach to working hours as some evening work maybe required.
