description Applicants should have considerable hand-on experience of setting and programming both CNC Lathes and Machining centres, and also have held a supervisory position. We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills an ability to manage and direct activities and establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product and suggest changes in use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop / department or work team. Ability to set-up, edit and optimise CNC programs. The successful applicant will be responsible for a small team of nightshift operators (approx 5 in number). Duties to include giving shop floor support and troubleshooting CNC machines and programs to ensure continuing and efficient production throughout the shift and setting and operating CNC machines as required.
