Working at thevery centre of each and every job that comes through your business unit, you will need to perform accurately under pressure and dynamically in order to meet tight project and client deadlines. Ideally, you will have a successful history of working with data and already understand the business rules and logic that are often transparent to others when managing and manipulating data.
Comfortable talking to clients and representing our division, you will mainly work with your Business Manager to adhere totheir specifications for the work being carried out, whilst giving input on creative ideas to maximise the potential for the client and in turn, revenue for my client. You must be able to use your initiative, making qualified decisions as and when necessary, often communicating with technical colleagues within your team to get the job done efficiently and accurately.
Utilising our custom suite of over 120 applications developed and maintained within our division, prior software/hardware tool knowledge is not essential. However, in order to meet the demands of this role quickly, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a flexible and pragmatic approach to the principles and base computer skills/languages required to manipulate and manage data.
Key activities will include:
Carry out data processing and production programming activities, including the download, conversion and reformatting of data according to our client's instructions and within the time allocated by the business manager.
Provide regular and pro-active reporting and feedback to your Business Manager on current and future client jobs.
Utilise automated and manual checks on projects to insure accuracy
Undertake regular analysis of client data to find the flaws software willnever catch
Work with your technical colleagues to mentor each other's talents and skills and develop your business unit to provide a premier service to the client.
Key skills ideally required:
- Knowledge of dBase and any scripting language would be preferred.
- The ability to communicate and liase effectively, to all functional areas of the Group and our clients/partners.
- An excellent team player, but equally self driven and motivated as an individual
- Common sense, flexibility and initiative will be highly regarded.
- Technically competent and comfortable with learning new techniques, tools and processes through both organised development and self-desire.
Salary:
