description Our Client is the private research arm of a major electronics company who are a household name throughout the World. This group specializes in developing cellular and low-power communication products and they are strong contributors to the 3GPP standards. Currently they are seeking a Research Engineer to work on physical and network layer protocols for projects that cover system level design, implementation into mobile handsets, and receiver algorithm optimization. To be considered you should have several years of post-graduate demonstrable experience of equalization or channel estimation modeling for CDMA or OFDM systems using Matlab (or similar). A pre-requisite is a minimum qualification of a 2.1 in Electrical or Electronic Engineering / Communications Engineering where your project has been signal processing based. It should also be noted that unfortunately, for this specific role we are only able to consider candidates with the appropriate work permit for the UK.
