They are currently looking for a Process Technologist to join their team.
The role:
The role will involve looking at their current processes and introducing new Technology or innovating current technology in order to reduce costs or enable product development.
In particular you will be responsible for developing the use of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques for composites from prepreg process through to final part inspection. It also entails researching the technology used in similar processes. The field is very much open to you.
You will have pressing short-term solutions to deliver and you will also have longer-term projects to deliver improvements and radical alternatives. You will need a high degree of technical competence, but you will also need the imagination and creativity to go with this.
Finally, they'll be looking for you to develop into a competent No.2 to the Process Technology Manager. They'll be expecting you to show technical and personal leadership.
The candidate:
1st or 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or a related field.
Good knowledge of composite manufacturing techniques.
Experience of NDT testing techniques, ideally of composites.
Composite manufacturing process improvement experience.
