They are seeking to strengthen their Marketing Communications team by appointing a Press and Publicity Manager, with responsibility for the International Trade & Technical Press. This will include all aspects of press relations activity and the preparation of material for publication. You will also be instrumental in generating technical copy for a wide range of marketing collateral and multi-media applications.
Dealing proactively with the electronics/computing press and working closely with the product management and engineering functions, you must be articulate and able to demonstrate the proven ability to understand, and to write and communicate technical information in a persuasive and interesting manner. You may already be working in the Media, a Marketing or Technical Writing role, or seeking such an opportunity.
Reporting to the Marketing Communications Manager, main responsibilities will include: - Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with the international trade and technical press. Implementing planned and deliberate PR and media relations strategies to promote greater awareness and understanding of the company's products, its aims, objectives and achievements using a wide range of communication techniques and channels, and assisting in the development and delivery of a wide range of multi-media marketing communications, exploiting the full range of latest information and communications technology.
I am specifically looking for someone with a science or technology degree and at least 5 years experience of working in a computing hardware/software environment. You must also have the people skills and authority to build strong relationships with key journalists as well as across all functions and international operations of our business.
