Job description: As a Software Business Development Manager based at the company's Greater London, you will be required to increase software revenues and market share within assigned clients and countries. The applicant must be willing to travel worldwide, approximately 50%. Relocation is also available if appropriate within the UK skills Qualifications: You must have a degree in Chemical Engineering with 10 years experience in the Hydrocarbon Processing Industry (HPI) and a minimum of 5 years successful experience in front line Sales of engineering software to the HPI. Awareness of process simulation software products and services will be definite plus. Proven experience in working to sales plans and a good understanding of the business drivers for the HPI in EMEA is essential. Demonstrating the ability to create sales plans and execute them accordingly, understanding of how to sell “value” services and software is also a pre-requisite. The ideal candidate must be able to understand the role and application of refinery simulation tools (e.g. kinetic reactor models, training simulators, on line optimisers, flowsheeting tools).
Good written and verbal communication skills, including PC skills are also essential. Advanced degrees and/or business degree and fluency in a second language are pluses.
