description Our client is providing an excellent opportunity, for a high calibre Project Manager from a mobile communications background. The role is to manage the delivery of business critical releases of software for a major mobile operator. You will have sole accountability for the delivery of system releases through to installation in production and post implementation review. The delivery manager will be accountable to senior managers/directors, all projects are to be delivered on time to the highest quality. You must a minimum of 7 years software development/project management experience with 2 years operating at senior level. You will need to have had training in PRINCE2 or PMI-PMP as well as software knowledge of JAVA, ASP/JSP, PDL, C++ and UNIX. A strong academic degree in IT/Engineering is required. The successful candidate will have come from a technical background and will have full project lifecycle experience within the mobile operating sector. European language skills would be beneficial due to the pan-European remit of the role, German would be particularly advantageous.

You role will be to develop and manage a portfolio of accounts predominately via the channel partners, with a typical revenue potential in the range of £5,000 - £75,000 per annum for their e-security services and products. You will need to demonstrate a track record over the last 5 years of outstanding sales achievement in excess of 130% PA, yielding at a minimum £140K gross earnings (or there abouts). They require a highly experienced individual with a comprehensive knowledge of the UK construction industry. Reporting to the Divisional Director in the company’s head office in the UK you will act as the liaison between the London and Munich offices. The post will be based out of a partner office in Munich, Germany; hence you must be bi-lingual in English and German. With responsibility for commercial and project activity the ideal applicant will need to be extremely experienced in both areas, having a demonstrable track record in the delivery of multi-million pound projects as well as having a high level of business acumen. The role will involve business development; leading project bids; overseeing market strategy; developing the future direction for the company; taking the lead on major projects from inception to completion; leading feasibility studies and sector benchmarking exercises; managing contract strategy & procurement; and leading responses to ITT, RFI’s and tenders for work.
