The engineering role involves, but is not limited to, the following activities: Inspection of rail/road carrying bridges and structures Inspection of masonry arch bridges Prepare notes detailing areas of work Undertake inspections in accordance with relevant LUL standards and procedures Candidate Specification You will need to be: A Technician Engineer or experienced Structures Inspector with proven experience of examination of underground/rail structures including Bridges, Tunnels, Retaining Walls etc An understanding of the relevant technical standards associated with Inspection work An understanding of the safety requirements for working within a railway environment Able to plan and manage own workload Experienced in the use of computers Good communicator both orally and written Ideally with some experience in Condition Marking of Structures
