Assist in the preparation of tender documentation and preparation of responses to sub contractors questions.
Provide designer with information required to carry out the design of the repair / renewal works to the Earth Structure.
Review sub-contractor method statements / risk assessments and other documentation to ensure compliance with QUENSH and other relevant standards and procedures.
Assist the sub-contractor with booking of possessions and arrangement of protection of site staff.
Supervise works on site to ensure compliance with relevant standards. Sign off works where authorised to do so.
Monitor the works against the sub-contractors issued programme.
Audit sub-contractor to ensure Quality Assurance documentation is produced as required by the approved method statement.
Carry out Health and Safety inspections and report on sub-contractors Health and Safety management.
Assist in approval of sub-contractors completion packages.
Assist in liaison with LUL, HMRI and other statutory authorities as required for approval / certification of the repaired / renewed Earth Structure.
Qualified Civil Engineer or Engineering Geologist
On site experience at Section Engineer or above preferably within the rail industry or other similar safety critical industry.
Health and Safety training to at least the level of Minimum Safety Requirement.
Track access certification to a minimum of track accustomed and Railtrack
Personal Track System.

location England Bath description Our client, a major multi-national consultancy with offices throughout the UK, is looking to recruit an engineering/environmental geologist with between 2 and 3 years’ experience to join its Bath - based team. Successful candidates will have excellent report writing skills, coupled with experience of various aspects of contaminated land investigation, assessment and preferably remediation as well.
