Since the company commenced trading over 30 years ago it has become one of the leading Piling and Mini Piling contractors due to the service and overachievement in quality and exceptional solutions to overcome obstacles. They are looking for a Commercial Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team and manage the regions commercial aspects. The right candidate will be responsible for overseeing all estimators/engineers estimates are correct on a quarterly basis, invoice and payment deadlines are met by the company and ensure all variations and additional costs are sufficiently justified and accepted by the clients commercial representative. You will be an experienced Commercial professional from a Main Contracting or Sub Contracting environment. Piling experience is a great advantage but not a prerequisite. location UK description With over 30 years experience in global communications infrastructure, our client provides innovative products, services & solutions to support the highest standards of performance and reliability demanded by international network operators, service operators, service providers, technology manufacturers & integrators.
They currently require a number of Town Planners.
They operate a very flexible working environment which mean you will be set up from home and have to travel one day a week to the office. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in Planning, no commercial experience is essential but experience in either a property or telecoms environment would prove advantageous. It has more to do with you working attitude, with the drive and commitment to delivering projects on time, full training and support will be provided along with full CPD in line with the current RICS and RTPI requirements. Knowledge of of development planning and environmental impact assessments would prove a distinct advantage.
With the ability to work well in a team, handling relationships, leading or influencing people. You will also have excellent negotiating, time management and strong communication skills, an essential part of your role will be speaking to clients on a day to day basis.
