Senior Metallurgist
Growth in their Gas Turbine consultancy business is creating new opportunities . As a result of this they are seeking to recruit a new member to the team. The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of projects providing support to ERAs clients on operational issues, turbine refurbishment, life extension and failure investigations. As a member of the Engineering Consultancy Services group you will work alongside other mechanical engineers, materials specialists and electrical engineers involved in similar and complementary disciplines. We are looking for a senior materials specialist with a metallurgical or materials engineering qualification (preferably C.Eng) and a superalloys background. Experience of hot gas path components and their degradation, assessment and repair would be an advantage.
As well as working on technically challenging projects you will assist in the development of new business areas working on proposal preparation and costing and providing less experienced staff with the benefit of your knowledge.
The role may entail occasional overseas travel.
