description My client is a key supplier of microwave and RF components and equipment to the communications, defence and aerospace industries with a wealth of new products for today's emerging markets.
At an exciting time in their growth they have created a new prominent role for a Senior Sales Engineer to develop and lead their UK sales effort with the clear opportunity to rapidly expand into sales management.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level with at least 3 years solid experience in a microwave/RF environment and preferably with good knowledge of a wide range of devices, including oscillators and frequency converters.
Although previous sales experience will be advantageous, applications are also invited from engineers who can demonstrate high levels of positive approach, self motivation, tenacity, empathy, communication skills, customer care, team working and organisational ability. Further training and personal development will be central to the role.
This will include extensive travel within the UK, identification and research of opportunities, discussion of customers' technical and commercial requirements, preparation and communication of proposed solutions, project monitoring and conclusion of business to agreed objectives.
