description A major mobile operator requires an Excalibur Test Analyst to work on a contract basis. The role will involve: -Carrying out all acceptance-testing activities, from the design stage to implementation, for allocated software deliveries of the Excalibur Customer Care and Billing application. -Preparing detailed test plans, liaise with the users and business analysts to ensure that user acceptance criteria are documented and agreed. -Liaise with the software developers and support personnel, to ensure efficient implementation of the software in the test environment. -Contributing to the overall effectiveness of the Excalibur Acceptance Test Team, being active in suggesting improvements in the process. The ideal candidate will have at least two year ’s experience in a formal acceptance testing environment, using Unix. Experience of a Customer Care and Billing application and a sound knowledge of SQL and an understanding of Oracle databases is essential.

The Candidate: This position is located within the groups Croydon offices, reporting toone of our three Business Managers. My client is the marketing technology division of the group and as part of this team, your role is pivotal, providing the technical execution and input to meet our clients current and future requests. Working at thevery centre of each and every job that comes through your business unit, you will need to perform accurately under pressure and dynamically in order to meet tight project and client deadlines. Ideally, you will have a successful history of working with data and already understand the business rules and logic that are often transparent to others when managing and manipulating data. Comfortable talking to clients and representing our division, you will mainly work with your Business Manager to adhere totheir specifications for the work being carried out, whilst giving input on creative ideas to maximise the potential for the client and in turn, revenue for my client. You must be able to use your initiative, making qualified decisions as and when necessary, often communicating with technical colleagues within your team to get the job done efficiently and accurately. Utilising our custom suite of over 120 applications developed and maintained within our division, prior software/hardware tool knowledge is not essential.
