Our client is a global player in the IT Services sector: their services keep people and information connected, from proactive business continuity through reactive disaster recovery to interactive high availability solutions, thereby helping over 10,000 clients worldwide have uninterrupted access to their business-critical information systems. They currently seek a Telemarketing Supervisor to join the team in Coventry.
Key responsibilities:
Supervisory
- Day to day supervision of the telemarketing team to ensure targets are met, paperwork is complete and mentoring is readily available.
- To monitor call activity within the Telemarketing Department to ensure that department targets are achieved
- Responsible for the training needs and performance development within the department – including developing new scripting ideas.
- Maintaining and compiling reports of all telemarketing activity including detail on all commission and bonus payments for approval.
- Work with the Direct Marketing Manager to recruit and retain staff.
- Handling day to day prospect and customer enquiries including those from the Freephone and InfoAvail mailbox.
- Work with the DM Manager to implement and manage dm campaigns in support of the sales activities
- Liaison with external agencies such as mailing houses.
- Managing team and 121 meetings on a monthly basis
- Maintaining and recording departments attendance, training and expense reports
- Record and track all activity resulting from Events and DM campaigns.
- To keep accurate records of all calls, leads and sales generated from the activity in the Telemarketing department
- Working with the team and DM Manager bring SPIRIT and FISH to life within the department.
Telemarketing
- Telemarketing a designated territory
- Maintain telephone contact with each prospect as required
- Update prospect database – including customer/prospect moves
- To produce quality leads in order for our client to achieve full year profit and sales targets
Database Administration
- Handling incoming queries
- To ensure GM is accurate and kept up to date in the course of their supervisory and telemarketing duties
Ideal skills and experience
- Knowledge of Goldmine or similar contact management system
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel essential
- Knowledge of MS Office preferred
- Knowledge of statistical analysis
- Campaign Management experience a bonus
- Experience in a Supervisory and Telemarketing or Telesales Desirable
- Additionally, a customer service orientated background would be advantageous
