Integration Engineer, Test Development Engineer, C++ programming, TTCN, 3G, UMTS, GSM/GPRS, GCF certification, Birmingham, West Midlands.
This international mobile 3G company requires an Integration Engineer to work in developing next generation protocol stack tests used for certification and conformance compliance. You will be responsible for developing C++ tests which capture real world problems to allow them to be recreated on the test equipment, piloting field and carrier lab trials, and developing a process to allow problems found in the field to be captured and recreated on their in-house test equipment.
This role will be 2/3rds development, with 1/3rd testing and debugging of UMTS/GSM GPRS/EDGE stacks.
To be considered you should have some experience of UMTS or GSM/GPRS technology integration. This could be gained either through software C++ or TTCN programming, or GCF Certification testing, or field testing. Any prior use of Rohde & Schwarz or Anite instrumentation will be advantageous.
The Client are keen to develop and progress their staff's career aspirations and are currently in a period of growth and expansion. They have recently opened this design office which is based in a brand new business park in the affluent up and coming redeveloped heart of Birmingham (near the National Indoor Arena and close to shopping facilities). They are located within a 10 min walk from New Street Station, also with West Midlands International Airport and the M6 close by.
