Our client, a successful mobile phone manufacturer, requires an experienced Acoustic Engineer to work in a small core team with the responsibility for the acoustic design of phone handsets. You will work with the mechanical team to define cavities and test the acoustics of mobile phone handsets including reviewing acoustic test results and providing major input to design reviews. The ideal candidate will have a Degree in Electronics, with acoustic or audio content or related subject. At least 6 months experience with acoustic diagnostic/fault finding techniques and demonstrable knowledge of designing acoustic cavities for optimum performance are essential. Good understanding of acoustic principles (transducer operation etc.) and basic knowledge of mobile phone audio technology is a must. Bluetooth audio experience and a good understanding of the interaction between Baseband/DSP and acoustics is highly desirable.
