Our client, a successful mobile phone manufacturer, requires an experienced Validation Engineer for "hands-on" execution of test procedures on a range of GSM/GPRS handsets and embedded products. The testing may involve field testing in the UK or overseas (a clean UK driving licence is required). The ideal candidate will probably be from a test laboratory, or a manufacturers R&D or compliance department, with experience in design or test of GSM/GPRS/WCDMA terminals or base station equipment. An interest in technology products such as MP3, Computers, Digital Cameras and a HND or higher professional Engineering Qualification is essential. Experience in using Rohde and Schwarz CRTP/TS8916 or Anite SAT, SAS or RAMS is a distinct advantage. Since overseas travel may be involved, a full European passport is required.
