Job Brief for: VP of Sales (Business Development Professional)
Location: base UK south coast.
Salary Guide: Good basic with O.T.E. Circ £150,000+
Our Client is a software applications provider whose marketplace is exclusively within the telecommunications industry sector. Their core product simply put delivers a high-tech solution for maintaining and optimising cross platform OSS operations.
The company has been in operation since the late 1990s and was in incorporated in October 2001, enjoying progressive growth over the last few years. Their growth has generated sufficient momentum to deliver an accelerating business plan that has already been exceeded in 2004.
The role: Direct Sales of the full product range to end-users.
The person best suited to this role will be well established within this industry sector with a recent and extended track record of delivering OSS or Telecoms environment related solutions.
They will have a demonstrable ability to identify and penetrate new business opportunities through the development of strategic and sustainable relationships.
Already enjoying a successful career in technical sales, their established network of appropriate contacts would facilitate a swift transition to successful promotion of the client products.
The individual will need to be a self-starter to create and build opportunities; a dynamic and enthusiastic personality to win customer confidence; professional and deliberate in their actions of follow through to maintain and grow customer loyalty.
Clearly, a full understanding of the product deliverables is a prerequisite coupled with a natural desire to keep up to date with industry wide developments, which will provide the commercial awareness needed to succeed; as would the routine monitoring and evaluation of competitors’ strengths and weaknesses in comparative terms to our client’s products.
