Major UK Games Studio requires an experienced Game Tools Programmer to work in their high profile Core Technology Team. This well organised group is developing the studio's innovative Tool set that has a large Artist and Animaotr userbase worldwide. You will need strong C++ experience with solid skills in OOD and structured development methodologies. Previous exposure to game tool development is vital and specific tool experience with 3D Studio Max or Maya (APIs and Max Script/MEL) is important, as is a solid grounding in 3D computer graphics, OpenGL or DirectX, art/animation tools, editors and plug-ins etc. Exposure to the current game platforms will also help (PS2, XBox, Cube). This is an excellent time to be joining this blue-chip company as it expands solidly and you will be well rewarded for your abilities - especially your skills with coaching and mentoring other more junior team members, being a good problem solver and having a sociable, 'client facing' approach.
