Our client (one of Europe's leading IT solution providers), has a proven track record of providing IT services to its ever-expanding list of blue chip clients, across the core sectors: Banking/Finance, Insurance, Manufacturing/Distribution, Telecommunications, Retail, Utilities and Public Sectors. Located in 7 European countries with approx. 7,000 employees, of whom 1,500 are outside of France.
With 4 Business Units positioned strategically throughout the UK, the company is always searching for high calibre consultants. As such, an immediate vacancy has arisen for a Technical Architect, to be based at the company's Oxford Business Unit, with occasional travel throughout the UK.
Within this role, the successful applicant will responsible for the high level design of systems architecture, based on business and technical requirements, and for the completion of architecture reviews, producing reports based on results of analysis. Applicants must have a good technical background in relevant technologies, whilst knowledge and experience of working in a consultancy environment would also be an advantage.
With five years' minimum experience, you will have proven proficiency in specifying solution and integration architectures in an enterprise context. Candidates should also hold an understanding of the full development lifecycle and methods, as well as having strong customer-facing skills. Ideally you will have led delivery teams to ensure technical quality and best practice design and development in the past, and will have a wide experience in the conducting of architecture reviews and consulting. In addition, our client seeks applicants with the following skills:
* Main expertise in either Microsoft .Net or J2EE
* Working knowledge of other platforms
* Knowledge of: CMS, portals, MOM, EAI, e-commerce, SSO
* Ability to contribute to pre-sales, including technical proposal writing and presentations
