An exciting technical consultant role with excellent prospects in ACI worldwide – an electronic payments software company with a 30 year track record, an established global distribution channel and a specialized focus on high-volume, 24x7 software solutions.
A generous salary of between £40K and £60K is offered plus excellent pension, car allowance, up to 26 days holiday and private healthcare.
You will be working with software that is already used by 800 customers in 83 countries and that handled more than 60 billion transactions and $3 trillion in payments last year alone.
This pivotal technical consultant role is hugely exciting with work including design, internal and external consultancy, unit testing and project planning.
You must have a thorough proficiency in OO design and C++ or Java development with experience of Unix or IBM Z series. You should also have team and technical leading experience, the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and good design and analytical skills. The preparedness to travel within the EMEA channel to provide support customers as required is essential. Experience of Synergy, Versa Test and Asset would be an advantage but are not essential.

More information: The role is hugely varied with design work including reviews, customer meetings, preparing estimates and system design input. Consulting aspects will include advising customers on design options and impact of changes. Coding and unit testing will involve preparing specifications, conducting quality review meetings and all phases of the development lifecycle. Finally project planning and monitoring will involve providing technical guidance and supervising the technical team. A fantastic role.
