Perl Developer required to be a valuable part of our client's Development Team based in Cheshire, close to Staffs. It is essential for the successful candidate to have technical competence in: Perl to a high level ; Developing Internet applications ; Unix systems programming ; Realtime systems ; Data interfacing standards and methods, XML and SOAP, as you will be closely involved in the future development of the company's market leading software systems. A working knowledge of Apache ; Networking ; C and C++ would be useful. Our client is looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic and keen to learn about the industry, the company and its competitors. The position is a key development role and requires an individual with initiative and good problem solving abilities. You should have a flexible, enquiring mind and be prepared to challenge the status quo. You should be able to work within guidelines but without the need for constant supervision. The position would best suit an ambitious, determined individual who can achieve realistic targets. Above all, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate that they would be an exceptional rather than average employee and prove this through past successes, achievements and promotions.
