Development Manager / Head of Development is required by our Crewe, Cheshire (close to Staffordshire to lead the development of new software applications. You maybe a Team Leader at the moment looking to make a move up the career ladder and will have experience of working to a Quality Management System for both software development and project management. You must be able to demonstrate successes in delivering complete and correct software development solutions within defined budgets and agreed time-scales. A mixed hands-on/hands-off role this position requires you to be competent in project planning, project reviewing & monitoring, project reporting, working within agreed budgets, staff motivation, line management, customer and commercial awareness. Technically, your experience should include extreme or agile development techniques for product development and delivery. UML, RAD and RUP experience are preferred. Core technologies include Perl, C and Linux but candidate with other skill sets will be happily considered.
