Perl Developer required by our client to play a key role in the ongoing support and development of their market leading systems. With strong all-round development skills gained in all areas of the SDLC you will have demonstrable experience with Perl and associated scripting skills. Any experience of Linux/Unix and an understanding of network concepts would be a bonus but is not essential. Skills with databases, MySQL, Oracle, SQL or similar would also be an advantage. You should have a flexible, enquiring mind and be prepared to challenge the status quo. You should be able to work within guidelines but without the need for constant supervision. The position would best suit a determined individual who can achieve realistic targets. Above all, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate that they would be an exceptional rather than average employee and prove this through past successes, achievements and promotions. This role can be based out of their offices in Crewe, Cheshire (close to Staffs) or in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.
