Linux/Perl Internet Developer/Systems Support Engineer required by our client based in Milton Keynes, Bucks to undertake a hybrid role focused on supporting internal system users, applications and systems within an internet biased business. To be considered you must be able to demonstrate a large degree of initiative as this role will have the responsibility of supporting, maintaining and improving Linux/Postgres/Oracle/Apache based systems. Some knowledge of Linux Systems Administration including networking and Apache would be a bonus but is not essential as would skills in Linux shell scripting, Perl, JavaScript, CGI and web site development. Hands-on training will be given to cover gaps in your knowledge. This post would particularly suit an enthusiastic graduate /junior or a person with 1-2 years commercial experience.
