Our client is a dynamic and rapidly expanding software development business which specialises in developing web enabled business management software - e-commerce, e-business, content management, knowledge management and other relational database management tools.
They are looking to recruit an experienced developer with strong C# / .Net skills and comprehensive knowledge of SQL 2000 server. The candidate must have a C++ background and .Net + SQL commercial experience is essential. Knowledge of ASP.NET is also a must (though it is not a primary requirement).
The ideal candidate will be organised, hard working, good in a team environment, possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work hard towards deadlines as well as possess the relevant experience required. You will also be able to combine skills with co-workers, have a very good grasp of programming languages and be willing to learn new ones.
Working within a team, this role will involve assisting other team members with SQL related queries. The candidate will be expected to have some experience in requirements gathering and day-to-day project management.
The work time in this role will be split as follows:
• 30% - ASP.Net application development
• 30% - .Net components development + performance monitoring
• 25% - SQL development
• 15% - SQL performance optimisation and administration
