The Logistics Administrator is part of the planning and logistics department, primary activities involve organising the movement of multiple materials to various locations and providing general administration and analysis for the planning and logistics department. The role mainly involves dealing with large volumes of paperwork on a daily basis, liaising with suppliers, hauliers and reprocessors in order to ensure that material is moved in a timely and cost effective manner.
The administrator will also have various analysis responsibilities helping provide overview information on materials, reprocessors and hauliers.
The Person
A self starter with the ability to coordinate large volumes of paper work, coupled with a proven ability to complete analysis, understand and report on complexities of the business. They will be positive, proactive and enthusiastic, have a sense of humour and enjoy working in a team. An interest or experience in waste management is desirable.
Activities
* Creating, raising, checking and processing of invoices
* Data entry onto in house computer system and various Excel spreadsheets.
* Manipulation of data in Excel
* Performance of general administrative duties
* Communication with customers, hauliers and reprocessors by fax email and phone
* Organisation and checking of large amounts of paperwork
* Creation of documents in Word and Excel
* Data interrogation adhoc analyse as requested
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
* Self reliant and able to work under pressure
* Strong organisational skills
* Analytical and competent in the use of Excel to analyse data and information
* IT Literate: Word and Excel, Access desirable
* One year's experience of working in a logistics environment – desirable
* Competency to multitask, prioritise and manage own workload
* Polite and professional at all times
* Numerate and ability to analyse complex information
* Customer focused with drive to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction
* Positive, proactive, enthusiastic, sense of humour and approachable
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Flexibility and adaptability
* The drive to learn and develop in an ever changing company
* Degree Educated / Recycling and environment interest desirable
