Our client is the UK arm of one of Europe's leading IT solution providers. It has a proven track record of providing IT services to its ever-expanding list of blue chip clients, across the core sectors: Banking/Finance, Insurance, Manufacturing/Distribution, Telecommunications, Retail, Utilities and Public Sectors.
The Office Administrator provides the company's Oxford based Business Unit with a person responsible for the coordination of a number of key reporting and administrative activities necessary for the smooth running of the BU. This involves liaison with BU Management, project managers, sales and head office personnel. Currently our client have one person fulfilling this role fulltime and another person on maternity leave. Our client is looking to increase the headcount for this position to 2 by taking on a new person from early January 2006. The new coordinator will work along side the existing person sharing the responsibilities set out below. The position will exist until the return of the second person from maternity leave (planned for Summer 2006).
The activity involves being responsible for the creation of 2 key financial reports on a monthly basis using a series of in-house developed financial systems. This takes approximately 5 days per month. Therefore exposure to financial applications and a good level of numeracy are very important. In detail the monthly processes are:
* Completion of End of Month (“Month End”) process (generates a monthly P&L report and invoice.
* Completion of P&L forecast for next quarter
* Other Mino
* Financial Reporting
You will also be responsible for the following key duties:
* Suppliers – maintain PO log / verification of supplier invoices
* Debts – cash collection
* Minor HR administration for the BU
* Travel arrangements
* Office supplies / post
To complete these duties successfully, the successful applicant will hold the following key skills:
* Financial awareness and numeracy
* Good written English
* Well organised
* Good interpersonal skills
As our client is part of a large French organisation, an applicant with French language skills would be considered very favourably and would certainly have opportunity to utilise their skills in the area.
