Our client is an international business school offering management research, executive education, organisation consulting services and conference facilities. The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) houses an extensive range of printed and electronic sources for participants attending a programme, members of the Alumni and Corporate subscribers. Accessible 24 hours a day, the LRC is staffed by highly skilled professionals who aim to deliver a friendly, customer focused service.
Working at the LRC reception desk you will assist customers with their general information requests using a range of resources and online databases. As well as managing library collections, you will be required to give tours of the LRC to customers. There are also elements of administrative and clerical duties involved in this role.
Some flexibility and your own transport are required as you will work a 35 working hour week Monday to Friday covering hours from 08:00-18.00 in conjunction with another team member. You may be required to work occasional weekends and an occasional late night until 22.00.
You should be educated to 'A' level standard or equivalent. Relevant experience in a business/library information environment would be an advantage. Computer literacy is essential (MS Office, email, internet and databases) as are good customer liaison and time management skills.
