Our client is an independent programme and system assurance company with 27 years' experience of delivering consulting and technology services into Space, Defence and Government. They currently seek an Administrator for the Manpower Services and Recruitment division, based in Welwyn Garden City on a fixed term contract of 6 months.
This role is ideally suited to an experienced administrator with highly accurate alpha/numeric input skills. The role will have two main focuses: to provide support relating to all administration activity within the Manpower Services Division; and to support the administration of the recruitment database.
Duties will include, although will not be limited to:
* Collating and managing remote staff forms such as expenses, absence and leave, mission approval and purchase order forms
* Collation of information and preparation of reports for End Clients (either as word documents or excel spreadsheets)
* Supporting bid preparation such as proof reading, photocopying, packaging, arranging couriers and ensuring timely departure/arrival
* Scanning, filing, telephone management, ordering business cards and other general administrative duties
* Assist in the preparation of data and records for the migration of information to a new computerised system, undertake migration of information to new database via electronic and manual means
* Managing the CV database - logging all CVs received and matching them up to the relevant vacancies, forwarding relevant CVs to the Recruiting Manager
* Co-ordinating CVs for submission into client bids and putting these into an acceptable standard format
Required Experience:
* A number of years of solid administration experience and responsibility
* Able to use a variety of software and computer systems including Word, Excel and Outlook to correspond by email.
* Database Administration
Essential Skills:
* Excellent Word, Excel and Outlook
* Excellent English language skills
* Highly accurate alpha/numeric skills
* Excellent administration track record
* Excellent telephone manner
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with manual data migration projects
* Previous experience using Recruitment or HR candidate management systems and databases
* Previous experience using and maintaining staffing or customer databases
* A previous understanding of or exposure to accounts paperwork and procedures would be highly beneficial
Additional Qualities:
* Able to work with minimum of supervision.
* Discreet and able to handle confidential information with tact and diplomacy.
* Ability to prioritise own workload and work to deadlines
* Demonstrate resilience, energy and flexibility
* Logical method of working
