Senior optical systems engineer to work on instrumentation design, encompassing all phases of the evolution of optical instrumentation development including presentations to customers, seeking business opportunities, review and refinement of customer requirements, proposal preparation including costs and schedules, detailed design using CAD tools and preparation of system and subsystem specifications, practical system integration and testing and project management. You will liaise with specialists from other disciplines inc. electronics, software, structural, thermal, and mechanical. You must have 5 years experience in design of optical systems, with a bias towards imaging systems, an ability to derive, analyse and optimise optical systems at conceptual and detailed design level, project management experience, a good degree in Physics and IT skills. Salary based on qualifications and experience. Benefits: private medical insurance, company pension and 23 rising to 28 days holiday.
