Our Client established in the UK in 1978, part of US listed plc Harvard Bioscience Inc is a world-leading manufacturer and distributor of laboratory, life science and research products. The company is looking for a Sales and Marketing Manager to continue the excellent growth that the company has consistently delivered. The role, which is based at the company’s headquarters in Edenbridge, Kent will require a reasonable level of travel both in the UK and abroad. Accountabilities: - The provision of excellent technical and sales support to our selling operations, thereby ensuring that they meet their annual sales budget. - The monitoring of each of our selling operations and the implementation of opportunistic or remedial actions where necessary. - The selection of new and where necessary replacement distributors in our export selling operations. - The management of our direct sales operation in the UK. - The cost effective and creative use of the agreed market communications budget. - The monthly reporting and forecasting of sales. - Regular reviewing with the Managing Director, of the company’s products and the suggestion and implementation of new, exciting products and services, thus ensuring the continued growth of the company on an annual basis. The jobholder will be responsible for ensuring that the company meets its annual sales budget on a global basis. You will ideally: - Have at least five years successful experience, preferably in the sale of scientific laboratory products. - Have a scientific background, ideally physiology, pharmacology or toxicology - Be hardworking, energetic, innovative and enthusiastic with the ability to motivate others. In return you will receive a base salary commensurate with the experience you bring to the job.
