Our client, is Britain’s longest established manufacturers of bespoke timber windows and doors. Established in 1811 in Berwick upon Tweed, and now part of a dynamic £60m turnover group, they are looking to strengthen their Commercial Department by appointing an experienced Sales Office Manager. • Controlling all the ‘front-end’ of the office-based sales process, you will develop and manage a team responsible for all estimating, sales order processing and technical activities, monitoring and reporting order intake values and ensuring manufacturing instructions are issued to production in a timely and accurate fashion. • You will achieve this by assessing current practices and procedures and change them where necessary to achieve the efficiencies required. • The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following characteristics/ experiences: *A strong man-manager, who has successfully led changes to both processes and culture *A logical approach to systems and procedures *A strong commercial background in a similar role Experience in the woodworking industry (or a similar construction-based industry) would be a distinct advantage, but not essential.
