Sales Executive (Europe)

Our client is the global market leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of Electrical Test & Measurement Equipment. Continued growth for the group has resulted in the following vacancies.
The role:
The Export Sales Executive will be responsible for day to day sales management in designated territories including Germany, Italy & Spain.
The objective of the role is the development of new and existing key accounts in the territories and the development of market knowledge to ensure that their products maximise their potential. Essentially the role is to build sales and profitability in the territory and find and implement new business opportunities.
Reporting to the Group Sales Manager the successful candidate will ideally have:
- Excellent communications, networking, negotiating and influencing skills and be an enthusiastic self starter with a strong competitive outlook
- It would be beneficial that the candidate has a technical qualification preferably a HNC / Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- A hands-on approach is essential and the candidate should have an international outlook and demonstrable commercial awareness
- Previous experience of International roles is not essential
Key Roles and Responsibilities include:
* Researching & appointing new Export Distributors/OEMs/Direct Accounts whilst developing and managing existing key export customers/accounts
* Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims, including costs and sales - especially managing personal time and productivity
* Plan and manage personal business portfolio/territory/business according to an agreed market development strategy
* Plan/carry out/support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities, e.g. product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing
* Monitor and report on market and competitor
* Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development
