Our Client, the European operations of Calgon Carbon Corporation, the global leader in the production, supply and development of granular activated carbon, innovative treatment systems, value-added technologies, and services for optimising production processes and safely purifying the environment.
With their experience developed since the early part of the twentieth century, facilities around the world, and a world-class team of over 1,200 employees, our client can provide solutions to the most difficult purification challenges.
Due to continued growth, the company is now looking to recruit an experienced Technical/European Sales person who is results driven and has proven experience of Business Development in Europe.
The Role
- Reporting to the General Manager the successful candidate will be based in Houghton-le-Spring, Tyne & Wear and the role will focus on Sales/Business development opportunities within Mainland Europe, and will involve spending approx 60% - 80% of the time travelling in order to meet with customers.
- Independently prepare sales presentation, contracts, and proposals to ensure the successful outcome of transactions.
- Develop strong client relationships over time, which provides significant input to planning the Company's product, price and service strategies.
- Working closely with a team of professionals to ensure proper understanding of customer needs.
- Report competitive activity and market share in territory and to increase knowledge of the Company's products, services and objectives on an on-going basis.
The Candidate
- The successful candidate will be an experienced Business
Development/Technical Sales professional, results driven with proven
experience of business Development in Europe
- Sound Technical Knowledge, ideally in the medical, pharmaceutical or industrial filtration markets.
- Formal degree in a Technical or Science application.
- Ability to negotiate, positive attitude and well-organised with strong communication skills, motivation, enthusiasm and creativity.
- Other Languages would be desirable and beneficial.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
- Computer Literate.
