<b>Job Summary</b> <br>Faithful Gould is one of the world’s largest project and cost management consultancies, employing over 2000 staff, with a turnover in excess of £70 million and an expanding office base in the Asia Pacific region, Continental Europe, the UK and USA.</p>Working within the Rail division in our London offices, you will provide full efficient and effective quantity surveying services in all technical and contractual aspects of professional practice, including where necessary, the proper supervision of subordinates and regular liaison with senior staff to encourage the effective and efficient performance of the team in the execution of their duties.</p><br><br><b>Responsibilities</b> <br><ul><li>Full quantity surveying duties</li><li>Provision of pre and post project contract control and responsibility</li><li>To ensure service delivery to clients</li><li>General knowledge of current legal developments in respect of construction and associated law</li><li>Guidance, care and mentoring of subordinate staff</li><li>Awareness of internal job costings in relation to the fee, services to be provided and resource requirements.</li></ul><br><br><b>Requirements</b> <br><ul><li>BSc in Quantity Surveying - ideally Chartered or ‘learnt by experience’<li>Smart/professional appearance<li>Punctuality and input of time as necessary to get the job done<li>Numerically accurate<li>Familiarity with contractual obligations, breaches and remedies.<li>Effective and efficient preparation of contract documents<li>Effective and efficient administration of project accounts<li>Productive supervision of subordinates including adequate planning, monitoring and control<li>Referral of potential problem areas to Team Leader<li>Client interface level of responsibility on a project basis in conjunction with senior grades<li>Effective and efficient knowledge of a range of project procurement options and services offered by Faithful Gould<li>Ability to work with the minimum of supervision and on own initiative<li>Ability to advise clients on project costs<li>Knowledge and understanding of the component parts of a project and overall construction costs.</li></ul><br><br><b>Training</b> <br>Faithful Gould develops individuals through a portfolio of training and development courses designed to help you make the best of your abilities and talents.
