ÂÕJob Purpose: âõ To act as a Package Engineer responsible for overseeing all civils engineering design and civils construction activities associated with Coventry Area Resignalling works including REB and Location case support and protection, equipment placement, erection of equipment structures and signals, troughing route works, platform works, vegetation clearance and other routine civils activities. Achieve safe implementation of package works to the customer’s specifications and timescales ÂÕKey Duties:âõ ·ÔDirectly oversee appointed Civils Engineering subcontractors on the project, clarifying scope requirements, providing guidance and direction to same. ·ÔMonitor the progress of works and ensure that the operational and budgetary targets are met and effect corrective or remedial actions where required. â·ÔEnsure that the technical and safety standards are maintained in all aspects of the civils works in order that successful project implementation and future reliability is achieved. â·ÔDirect the preparation of contract specifications or scope documents for civils works. Evaluate quality and technical accuracy of tenders and make recommendations to obtain the best available deal for the Company. â·ÔMaintain a continuous communication with contractors and customers in the development and implementation of projects to ensure a uniformity of purpose and common targets. â·ÔParticipate in planning and programming of resources to meet the requirements of allocated projects. â·ÔResponsible for possession co-ordination on a four week look ahead, including resourcing of COSS and Look outs for planned works in accordance with RIMINI requirements. ·ÔIdentify the required budget provision for all allocated projects to enable target dates to be met. â·ÔWork with the allocated Project Commercial Team to provide effective change control on the civils packages â·ÔSafety responsibility in terms of Health and Safety legislation, Company procedures including development of the Project Safety Plan. â·ÔAssistance with the co-ordination of the four week look ahead for planned works in accordance with RIMINI requirements.  ÕEssential Requirements:âõ ·ÔHND/HNC in Civils Engineering or equivalent ·Ô5 years experience in Railway Civil Engineering Construction ·ÔExcellent communication and presentation skills.
