My client is one of the UK’s leading providers of business support and construction and a leader in integrated solutions for infrastructure, building and services. They are currently looking for a Bid Manager situated in the West Midlands.
You will be required to manage the tender process with the Tendering Team to produce and deliver a tender to the client’s expectation and liase with the client’s procurement team.
Key objectives include managing and co-ordinating the bidding activities on all internal and external interfaces and ensure that the bid be delivered on time. You will be producing tender documentation that clearly meets the client’s expectations and responding to any client queries throughout the tender period.
The main accountabilities will be working within the budget, leading the tender team and managing all processes within.
They are looking for you to have a minimum of 5 years experience in an operational or commercial role within the rail industry and a proven ability to interpret technical data. Knowledge of standard contract conditions and negotiating skills is a must. An appreciation of estimating requirements, project planning techniques and Health, Safety and Environmental compliance is required.
They are also looking for someone who demonstrates excellent leadership and communication abilities.
