Environmental Advisor - Derby - £28,000 package

Location Midlands based with travel to various site based projects in the South
My client is a world leader in the project management, design, installation and testing of complex rail infrastructure projects.
They currently require an Environmental Advisor to be based in the Midlands, however the successful candidate must be flexible, as they will also be required to work on various site-based projects, in the South. Flexibility is also required in regard to working hours as the position may require the candidate to work night’s and/ or unsociable hours.
Full job description you will advise project teams on all environmental aspects of the project both internally and externally and provide support to the Environment Manager on each project.
The role will encompass the following:
· Providing inputs to the project Environmental System (EMS) to comply with company and contract requirements and legislation.
· Liaising with third parties as necessary including Local Authorities and EA.
· Monitoring, reviewing and audit compliance with EMS by the project team.
· Providing regular environmental briefings, training and updates to project team, sub-contractors and suppliers as necessary.
· Collating and reporting environmental data for project and business environmental KPI’s.
· Compilation of Section 61 applications and progress/ maintenance of the applications.
· Active monitoring on site.
· Essential Skills HNC/HND in environmental field.
· Associate Member of IEMA.
· Experience in construction and/or rail related role.
· Auditor.
Desirable Skills 5 years experience in implementing an EMS (Environmental System) preferably to ISO 14001.
Salary £23K - £28K
