<b>Job Summary</b> <br>Atkins Rail Civil Engineering leads the industry in design development and management of total rail infrastructure systems.</p> </p>Atkins Rail undertakes Civil Engineering consultancy and design on Network Rail, London Underground and light rail networks. We undertake projects from feasibility through to detailed design and construction management.</p> </p>Our engineers are skilled in the design of permanent way (trackform and alignment), bridges and tunnels, passenger stations, freight terminals, maintenance and support facilities, and embankments and cuttings. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Civil Engineer with Assessment experience to work out our Swindon Office. </p><br><br><b>Responsibilities</b> <br><ul><li>Deliver assessments of Civil Assets (bridges, tunnels, retaining walls etc. to Trans4m under LUL technical approval systems<li>Carry out principal inspections as required<li>Assist in the management of delivery of an overall programme of assessment work</li></ul><p></p><br><br><b>Requirements </b> <br><ul><li>Minimum 5 years experience of assessment and inspections<li>Degree qualified<li>CEng MICE would be an advantage<li>London Underground Limited (LUL) safety permit would be an advantage</li></ul><br><br><b>Training</b> <br>Atkins develops individuals through a portfolio of training and development courses designed to help you make the best of your abilities and talents.
