PURPOSE OF ROLE: Lead and direct an engineering group (2-15 people) in the development and engineering delivery of signalling projects and major engineering sub-projects. Provide the detailed engineering focus for definition and resolution of the engineering interface between client/sub-contractors/other disciplines/third parties etc both internal and external. Ensure all engineering details are compliant with and produced and issued in accordance with defined principles and process. Provide guidance and training for Engineers and Trainee Engineers. Attend site as required by Project
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE (including educational level):
Essential
• 5 years signal/systems engineering experience in Project Delivery
• Applicable Standards
• Project Safety Requirements
• Risk Assessment Techniques
• Knowledge of the
engineering interface with other
disciplines i.e. civil engineering, PermanentWay, electrification and telecommunications
• Safety Case requirements and production
Desirable
• Member of IRSE
• Signal Maintenance requirements
• Risk and contingency planning
