Rail Tender Planner-Hertfordshire
Our client is one of the largest, privately owned construction and property groups in the UK. They have been trading for over 30 years, operating from regional offices across the UK. The company has been steadily growing year after year, and has a reputation for reliability, dedication and professionalism. The company has a turnover of £160mn , and has previously won prestigious industry awards.
Recently, the company has seen a massive growth in its rail division. Due to this, they are looking to recruit a Senior Pre-Contract/Tender Planner to be based at their office in Hertfordshire.
The company works on a variety projects including the following:
-Stations – including new builds and refurbishment
-Civils work – bridges, tunnels, earthworks
-Depots – new build, reconstruction and refurbishment
-Lineside infrastructure projects
-Term and framework contracts
The role will include:
-Act as member of team preparing tender submissions
-Assist estimators at tender stage by helping with the preparation of:
1. Labour and plant resources schedules
2. Calculation of preliminary items, e.g scaffolding.
-Update and revise programmes on live contracts when applicable, and prepare records of programmes and schedules to aid reimbursement requests.
In order to apply for this role, you must have:
-A minimum of 5-10 years rail sector experience, within a planning capacity
-Experience of all aspects of tender planning
-Proficiency in the use of Primavera P3 planning software
-Experience of planning large scale rail projects
Remuneration:
For the successful applicant, our client will offer remuneration of up to £45,000 per annum depending on experience. Other benefits will include car/car allowance, pension and healthcare.
