Our client a Printer and Copier Manufacturer has a new vacancy for a Product Marketing Manager. Your job will be t o provide a full range of marketing input across a designated product range including the preparation and implementation of appropriate product and marketing strategies. The main function of the role to will be to assist the Senior Product Marketing Manager in the development and implementation of marketing & product strategies to improve the market share and unit volumes through out their range of printers, copiers and scanners through Europe. These activities will encompass all the elements of the marketing mix in addition to providing close product support to the regions. Pro-active communication & project management skills are important skills the candidate must possess. This role is key to the successful implementation of the organisations strategy.
T he Product Marketing Manager should become the focal point for all market & product related activity in Europe.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
Good knowledge in computer, printer, scanner, copier and MFP in hardware and software.
Experience in more than one System. Of particular interest are Windows NT/2000, Unix, Linux and Macintosh.
Demonstrable experience in some Windows, Macintosh and Unix applications.
A broad knowledge of hardware and system configuration and connectivity, to set-up Networks, servers, Workstations and application software for printing and scanning.
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
Formal education in Marketing - CIM degree or equivalent. Other qualifications a bonus
2+ years Product Marketing experience
Must have proven success on a Pan European scale in last position
Locally situated
Comes from similar industry with Copier / Printer
Experience
Astute in understanding of Printer / Copier technical issues
Commercial awareness important
Language skills a big bonus
Good communication skills in all aspects verbal and written skills, presentation skills to large audiences
Computer skills excel, power point, word, project management skills is important
Willingness to travel abroad on short notice
References required 2 from previous and one from previously held position
