Essential skills are :-
- Two years FPGA design using VHDL for target devices such as Lattice isp and Altera flex.
- Design at component level using building blocks such as operational amplifiers.
- Project planning/management : the estimation of activity timescales, costs, resources and an appreciation of risk factors.
- The use of PC application programs including MS Office, MS Project, MS Outlook and Orcad schematic capture. Good understanding of PC architecture.
The ROLE
- To act as an electronics engineer responsible for specification, design and development activities. This is hands-on technical work, technical and small project management, responding to technical queries and fault diagnosis.
- Expected to provide significant creative contribution to improving standards of design, project operation and product performance including build test and field reliability.
