A vacancy exists for a Transformation Communications Manager reporting to the Head of Communications and the Business Director
This new and challenging post is responsible for the development and implementation of a communications strategy required to deliver effective change in support of the air programmes. Initially, the role will focus on the Tornado programme, which will provide the 'blue print' for all other air programmes.
Working closely with the Logistics Director (Strike) and the Tornado senior management team your responsibilities include the development and implementation of a communication strategy in support of the above. The strategy will deliver effective employee and external engagement by ensuring the strategy is appropriately represented and understood. Additionally, you will provide guidance and support for good communication practice.
Specific deliverables will include:
Developing the key strategic messages for the business and supporting evidence
Developing and implementing appropriate mechanisms for engaging stakeholders
Developing a comms schedule of events/activities in support of the business unit
Defining mechanisms to measure success
As a member of the senior communications team contributing to the development of the communications strategy for the business.
This integral role would suit someone with a minimum of five years experience in communications. You will have facilitation and change management skills. Additionally you will possess excellent writing skills, evidence of an ability to plan, organise and co-ordinate across a team and a willingness to travel is essential. Experience with dealing with the media is preferential.
You will be an excellent teamworker with the ability to wok in partnership with our Customers' communications teams is essential, possess strong influencing skills - often in dealing with senior managers and have the ability to motivate others as part of a team.
