The role will require the support of both internal and external customers on technical aspects of the GPS product range from ICs through to applications platforms.
Activities will include:
? Support of customer designs based on GPS chipsets from early engagement through to volume production;
? Characterization and evaluation of devices;
? Design, testing, documentation and maintenance of applications and evaluation boards;
? Management of subcontractors for PCB design, manufacture and assembly;
? Support to test engineering for the development of production test suites and subsequent maintenance and cost reduction activities;
? Reporting progress against specific project or customer milestones;
? Contribution to the strategic planning activities of the company (e.g. new product ideas);
? Investigation, analysis and reporting on device anomalies and failing parts.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Good technical understanding of analog/RF semiconductors and board-level products;
Background in engineering design of RF components or products;
5 years experience in a RF semiconductor or module manufacturer working within a new product introduction (NPI) procedure framework;
Highly organized with outstanding written and verbal communication skills;
Ability to work effectively and efficiently with colleagues in different locations and timezones;
Proactive approach to problem solving for customers and internal issues
