<b>Job Summary</b> <br><p>Atkins Nuclear are seeking applications from Chartered Civil and Structural Engineers to provide efficient and high quality engineering support within new build, substantiation, refurbishment and decommissioning design teams</p><br><br><b>Requirements</b> <br><strong>Essential</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 2:1 Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering<li>Minimum 2 years' relevant industrial experience<li>Broad UK design office experinece in the following areas is preferred:<li>design of civil/structural works associated with utilities infrastructure<li>design substantiation and analysis/reporting<li>knowledge of requirements for buildings subject to explosive/radiological hazard<li>supervisory/team leadership experience including reviewing work undertaken by others<li>Candidates will need to attain an appropriate level of UK security clearance</li></ul><strong>Desirable</strong></p><ul><li>Chartered or working towards Chartered status<li>Civil infrastructure design experience<li>Blast resistant design experience<li>Seismic design experience<li>Previous experience within a consultancy environment<li>Experience of highly regulated UK industries beneficial plus an understanding of relevant legislative standards</li></ul><strong>Personal skills</strong></p><ul><li>Flexible and self motivated<li>Effective communicator<li>Questioning and challenging when appropriate<li>Problem solver.</li></ul><br><br><b>Training</b> <br><b></b></p></p>Atkins develops individuals through a portfolio of training and development courses designed to help you make the best of your abilities and talents.
