General: The candidate will be required to manage and perform a range of Safety analytical tasks in support of the development of the fuel system for the project.
Specifically, this role includes the following responsibilities:
• Plan and carry out Fuel Tank Ignition and Explosion Particular Risk Analysis using recognised processes and Industry techniques to meet the requirements of the project
• Ensure that all analyses are documented and managed appropriately under department documentation configuration control
• Act as the Fuel Tank Ignition and Explosion Particular Risk Point of Contact, liaising with design teams and other related Particular Risk Activities and providing input where required to other engineering disciplines (e.g. Installation, Supportability, Human Factors, Maintainability)
• Present the Safety cases with respect to Fuel Tank Ignition and Explosion hazards in support of the developing design.
• Provision of relevant expertise in support of other safety analysis work as required
• Compilation of the final Fuel Tank Explosion Report
Additional Desirable Qualifications and Skills
• Familiarity with fuel system development, preferably within an aerospace context
• Airworthiness Regulations (specifically JAR/CS/FAR 25)
• Familiarity with systems engineering processes
• Experience with computer based analysis tools, i.e. Fault Tree .
